All Christians in your locality are together the local church

Our goal:
The goal of Local Body of Christ is that we set up organic expressions of the church in all localities of the world each consisting of all Christians in that locality.

Definitions:

locality:  A locality is defined here as the smallest area needed to have an organic church.
organic church: An organic expression of the church is one in which the members are learning to live by Divine LIFE together. They are learning how to live by the indwelling Christ. And out of that living emerges a particular expression. That expression, because it’s derived from LIFE, is “organic.” When the church is living true to herself . . . as an organism . . . her expression is organic. The means and end is Jesus Christ. Christ is known deeply by a group of people who are discovering His infinite riches together and are making Him visible on the planet again.

Our vision:

Realizing our goal means that the Church expresses unity not only spiritually but also practically. It also means that the Church has become mature. As written in Revelation 21:2 NIV: "I saw the Holy City , the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband." Our vision extends therefore beyond our life on Earth before the 2nd coming of Jesus Christ and culminates with the vision as expressed in Revelation 21:2.

General implications:

The most straightforward way to work towards our goal is to contact all Christians and share the gospel with everybody else worldwide in each locality by door-to-door ministry and then set up organic churches wherever possible. We believe though that the Lord Jesus leads His Church through the Holy Spirit through each member. We seek to be open to the leading of the Holy Spirit. We also recognize that the Church is moving forward towards this vision in many ways. Sometimes we can work together with other ministries. At other times we can rejoice in what God is doing for His Church through other ministries even though we can't work together. We believe too that we should focus on what should be done instead of what can be done.

Pope Francis and Christian Unity.

He has a great message and he puts it in several special ways into practise. He says that Christians should not forsake fellowship with Christians from another Christian background. He was asked: Should a Roman Catholic Christian pray with Christians from other Christian backgrounds? His answer was: You must!
He puts it in practice.
His vision and that of Local Body of Christ for Christian Unity looks to be similar. His contacts are primarily church leaders whereas Local Body of Christ's contacts are by definition of our vision each individual Christian. However his vision looks similar as he does implore Roman Catholics to pray with Christians from all Christian backgrounds. As he is such a central person in Christianity by way of his office, being the pope of the Roman Catholic Church, the biggest Christian denomination on Earth by far, it is very fitting to post this beautiful video on our website.

Welcome to Local Body of Christ (LBOC). We are a grassroot movement desiring to achieve unity and a mature Church. Our ideal is organic housechurches each consisting of all Christians in a given locality who share our ideal of desired doctrines/practises. If you like to get involved, please read the for you relevant education page(s) carefully.

We currently have two ministries. We might later add a third ministry which adds theology and practise to the organic churches.

1.  Set up fellowships:
We do door-to-door visitation to contact all Christians in a locality and let them know about each other's address and our desire that we like them to meet and have fellowship with one another. Whatever they do with that, is their responsibility.  Whatever they like to do while together is also up to them.  Matthew 18:20 NIV: "For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them."  Hebrew 10:25 NIV: "not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another - and all the more as you see the Day approaching." This is a very low profile ministry. It focuses solely on the desire of Christians and the Biblical admonition to meet together and have fellowship with one another. Although it is a very low profile ministry, it will afford us to bring this message to many countries all around the world. Our ideal is something which we pray for but which is in God's hands.

2. Set up organic churches:
We like to see organic housechurches set up in like manner as explained by Frank Viola. He has been a church planter and he is a prolific writer with its blog ranked in the top 10 of all Christian blogs. Several of his books are bestsellers.
